CHRISTMAS & NEW YEAR HOLIDAYS
We are closing for the festive period on Friday 23rd December and will return to business on Monday 9th January.  Everybody here at Island Leisure Lodges would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

FARM DIVERSIFICATION TO HOLIDAY ACCOMMODATION
We are currently working with several groups who are in the process of securing grant assisted funding to enable them to either start up a new business of holiday let accommodation, or to expand upon existing holiday cottages or lodges.

Testament to our extremely high quality product and service, Island Leisure Lodges have been selected by many who have applied to the Scottish Rural Development Programme (SRDP) and Rural Development Programme England (RDPE), to manufacture their timber buildings, and in turn we give our utmost support and do all we can to assist in their development project.  We are here to help with the design, production of plans/drawings, planning process, and finally, the production and transportation of the building to site.  Further details on the Farm Diversificiation Scheme in Scotland can also be found on the Scottish Agricultural College (SAC) website.

ISLAND LEISURE DONATE DOG KENNEL TO PERTH SILENT AUCTION

ISLAND LEISURE LODGES LENDS A HELPING HAND TO THE GLENSHEE PERFORMANCE SQUAD (GPS)
Island Leisure Lodges assisted the Glenshee Performance Squad by installing a new Decra roof to "The Club Hut". The High performance Decra roof, the same product we use on our lodges, was provided at cost price. The labour to install this was carried out free of charge by Island Leisure staff, and assisted by members from the four ski clubs who make up the GPS. The four clubs are Blairgowrie Ski Club,  Aberdeen Snowsports Club,  Dundee Ski Club and Braemar Ski Club.   Come to the Glenshee Ski Centre to join in all the fun and meet representatives from the GPS and each of the Clubs. (Nov 2011)

ISLAND LEISURE'S 1ST LODGE ON THE ISLE OF SKYE NEARING COMPLETION

OUR FIRST 'LITTLE LODGE' IN SITU READY FOR RENTAL BUSINESS
Glendaruel Camping & Caravan Park now have their 'Little Camping Lodge' up and running available for nightly hire. It sits in its own quiet corner of the park with stunning views over the Glen. The Little Lodge has a double bed and bunk beds to sleep a maximum of 4 people. It is beautifully built and designed to make the most of the views!

This fantastic alternative to a tent is ideal for walkers, cyclists or anyone wanting a little retreat. It is a great experience with small children getting the taste for camping. Camping in a Little Lodge provides you with some of the home comforts you and the children are used to: microwave oven, kettle and toaster; heated towel rail and small electric heater; electric sockets for charging phones/cameras etc; TV/DVD Player; double glazed and well insulated - just remember to bring your own sleeping bags!

ISLAND LEISURE LODGES GET CLEANER & GREENER
Thanks to the Energy Saving Scotland small business programme, we have managed to become a cleaner and greener operation - and the business is making considerable cost savings in the process.

We installed a biomass system to replace electric heating in our spray booth. By installing the wood waste heater system, we are making substantial savings per year on electricity and as a company, committing to reducing our carbon footprint. We have also reduced the amount of waste wood sent to landfill.

As a result of the Energy Audit carried out, we have also installed a number of presence detectors for the office and factory lighting. (Jan 2011)

CONGRATULATIONS TO HOE GRANGE HOLIDAYS ON WINNING MULTIPLE AWARDS!
Island Leisure Lodges provided Hoe Grange Holidays with their new, award winning Rainster Lodge in September 2010, and look forward to providing them with their fourth timber lodge in 2011. The Rainster Lodge has many important accessible facilities with a range of specialist equipment, including mobile hoist, two electric profile beds, a fully adjustable Pressalit Care wash basin and mobile shower chairs.

Carry Farm and Island Leisure launch new contemporary 3 bed/2 bath Hunter Lodge. You haven't seen anything quite like this with its shimmering aluminium roof, clad in traditional vertical Scottish Larch, neatly nestled alongside sheltered coastal waters in Argyll.
